Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Coil No.1 (Grades 304 / 316)

Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Coil No.1 Surface

Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Coil No.1 is thick gauge stainless steel suitable for heavy industries. Processed through hot rolling, annealing, and pickling to achieve a matte (No.1) finish. High durability and corrosion resistance. We import and supply high-quality standard stainless steel.

Popular Stainless Grades:

  • Stainless 304 / 304L – The most popular grade (Austenitic). Excellent corrosion resistance, widely used in water tanks and structural applications.
  • Stainless 316 / 316L – Marine Grade with Molybdenum. High resistance to acids and chlorides, ideal for chemical plants and coastal areas.
  • Stainless 430 – Ferritic grade, magnetic, cost-effective, and easy to form.
  • Other grades: 201, 309S, 310S, 321, 409L, etc.

Specifications:

  • Thickness: 3.0 mm – 12.0 mm
  • Width: 1000 mm, 1219 mm (4 ft), 1250 mm, 1500 mm (5 ft) or Custom Slitting
  • Surface: No.1 (Hot Rolled, Annealed and Pickled - Dull Finish)

Applications:

Stainless Steel Coil No.1 is commonly used for:

  • Pressure Vessels, Chemical Tanks, and Silos
  • Food Processing Machinery
  • Automotive Parts and Structural Beams
  • Industrial Piping and Wastewater Treatment

Why Choose Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Coil (No.1 Finish)?

Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Coil (No.1) is the primary raw material for metal processing industries. Manufactured at high temperatures, this stainless coil offers strength, durability, and a wide range of thickness options. It is suitable for forming large tanks, machinery parts, or building structures.

The characteristic of No.1 Finish is its dull, matte, and rough texture, which is natural for hot-rolled stainless steel. It prioritizes mechanical properties and cost-effectiveness over aesthetic appearance.

Benefits of Buying Stainless Steel Coil:

  • Cost-Effective: Purchasing in coil form offers a lower price per kilogram compared to sheets, making it ideal for mass production.
  • Reduce Waste: Coils can be slit or cut-to-length to your exact requirements, minimizing scrap material.
  • Continuous Production: Perfect for feeding into automated production lines without the downtime of changing sheets.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

No.1 Finish is hot rolled, annealed, and pickled. It has a dull, matte, and rough texture, available in thicker gauges, suitable for industrial tanks and structures. 2B Finish is cold rolled, smoother, slightly reflective, and typically thinner, suitable for general applications.

For general indoor or outdoor use, Grade 304 is standard and cost-effective. However, for marine environments (seaside) or chemical processing where high corrosion resistance is required, Grade 316/316L is recommended due to its Molybdenum content.
